Back to reality!!

Well vacation was wonderful.... good food, great family, and got to visit an old friend whom I love and miss dearly! We all had a great time, but then before you know it we are on our way back home! I missed this place, it is funny when 3 nights into the vacation your 10 year old starts crying wanting her home, then when its time to leave she wants to cry because she has to leave... children. I was so glad to get home all of my critters were sooo glad to see us, the dogs were going nuts, the cat was even excited! All the horses came running to the fence.... it is great to be home! Sunday was spent with the grandsons, son-in-law, husband and a nice quite horseback ride, then my brother came bearing gifts!!! I am so thankful for my life. I hear people complain about everything and I am guilty at times myself, but we are soooo very fortunate.... next time you think life has dealt you a bad hand..... google concentration camps and look at a few shots of a really bad hand!

It is hot already! We have a double playday this Saturday, this will be a rough one! But we will then be back on schedule, so we will finish on time! I am ready for this one to be over... then we are of on vacation and back to get ready for Sept. rodeo and the fall series! Poor Hubby will be exhauseted due to somewhere during the double header, rodeo and all his chores... it is race time again! Him and Bubba will be off to TMS tomorrow afternoon! Hope they enjoy!

Reading a blog, I found out a man from Tyler got 35 years for "WEED" this was a crime without a victim!! And now tax payers will foot the bill for his housing, food, and everything else he needs during his stay at our tax payer provided hotel. This is ridiculous! Somewhere along the road, Americans lost their "common sense"! I have 6 questions I would like to ask:
1. If you have to pass a drug test to keep your job, why would you get "free" money with no drug test? (Yes welfare recipients I am talking to you!)
2. Why would we pay (reward) someone for having more children than they can support? After the second baby we pay for lets spay/neuter...
3. How can the government give money away that they take from us, if they don't use it should they not give it back to us?
4. How many employees give themselves raises? Yes CONGRESS men and women, I am talking to you!
5. Why do common people have to work 25-30 years for retirement.... and politicians not near that long?
6. Why with all the trash on the highways and all the "free" money we give out on the Lone Star Cards, why not give them scan tags on trash bags and there pay will be just like mine... THE MORE YOU WORK THE MORE YOU MAKE!

BUSSSSSY Month of March!!

Yesterday as I began combining all of the family calanders.... I came to realize my children fill my calander QUICKLY!! The month of March is already full... not one weekend off!! Project show for the sheep and rabbits is March 6, then off to see Clinton Anderson on the 13th & 14th, Youth Fair Rodeo is the 19th & 20th, Youth Fair starts the 22nd, Horse (speed events) are the 23rd, sheep show on the 24th, rabbits and photography on the 25th, pick all of the critters and pictures up on the 26th, and work the concession stand on the 27th....... and this is only Pokeys calander.... and she is only 10!! Then we will fill in days with the college kid! Gonna get to see the grandkids this weekend!!!!!! (Now that is FUN!!) RACE TICKETS ARE IN.... ANOTHER YEAR IN THE SAME SEATS WITH THE SAME FAMILY & FRIENDS!~! I am sure Russell & Bubba will have the pole erected in the party pick-up by then!!

It is raining again... the big tank is a foot and a half from being full! Russell & my crazy cousin Kennith Earl are still on the Red Stegall ride. We rode 17 miles on Sunday, I awoke sick as hell Monday, and called Bubba for a rescue! The ride started in Jacksboro and when I talked to Russell they were almost to Azle! They rode in the rain all day today! The barn is almost dried in and will be mostly done by winter!

It has been months since my last post.... Where have I been? Well, I was acting like I had a job as the Rodeo Coordinator.... So now I am running back and forth to the hospital to tend my Nanny! Russell is building me an awesome barn........ I will post pictures soon!

Back from the Carolinas!

Back from a great vacation! After spending a week with my inlaws and my little sister, I am back! We had a great time! I was a bit concerned about the trip, which turned into a bonding experience with my sister and I and also my Mother inlaw and I! We visited my brother-inlaws little church where I learned alot about churches in general, and even more about my family! It was a great experience and I am very THANKFUL! Well last weeks storm was gone on Wednesday night, I am now finished cleaning up after it! We had a nice 1 3/4" wading pool in our gameroom! Always wanted an indoor pool, but not in my game room! One hellofa week! Getting ready for a week on the island.... come on July 4, I will be Independent at the island on Lake Texahoma!!! Then it is off to South Carolina to see the inlaws, and then to Mississippi for family reunion!! These people are my husbands stepdads family and the are awesome! We have been going to their family reunion for 7 years, and have not been to either of our own familys reunions for 10 years or more! These people sing, visit and really have a great time!

THAT DAMN ORCHARD!!

Well the Indy race was great, this is what we called "family day" we all had a great time and it was a great race... Danika could have done a little better... but ya cant win them all!

Now lets get to this orchard... a good friend of mine called me a couple of weeks back and said I should get to Lowes, cause they just marked all of their fruit trees 75% off..... Here I go credit card in hand, so instead of a few fruit trees, hell I just bought the orchard!! or 2!! We planted trees for 3 days, got a few more from another Lowes and a little orchard has turned into a orchard with 30 plus trees....

School is almost OUT!

Well, I now have one out for the summer and one more who only has a week!! We found out last night that we will have visitors next week-end! We will also have our final rodeo for the spring series! A couple of weeks off to burn some gas through the boat! Sure was proud of the baby today when she got awards for the most reading points! Smart girl!
Got some extra race tickets in the mail for the summer race, and I was just getting over the spring race! But ready for the fall race!

GONE GARDENING!!

SPRING IS HERE!! The garden is being planted; as with everything my husband has fenced off almost 1/4 acre to have a small garden! So we are going green!! Every evening we are racing down to the garden to water, plant, water, pull weeds, water and water some more! We have planted fruit trees, shade trees, and a wonderful variety of vegetables! We now have 2 baby squash! I was so excited! The tomatoe plants are now blooming! Soon we will have real "fresh" vegetables! So if you come to visit and we are gone.... we are gardening, come down and visit!

Well the Tax Deadline is soon upon us! So I must get busy, I have to finish before I am fired!
The playday was great! Out of there by 3:30, to Casa Torres having lunch with friends by 4:00!

The oldest daughter Miracle (WCSP Sweetheart) just had a tumor removed and is doing VERY WELL! Thank you all for your prayers and donations! Well here we go, today I called and made it final.... We will be camping at Finish Line Campground! After talking to Susan, I just cut the check and mailed it! Over the past few years I have drug my husband to many rodeos and playdays, in return I have attended a few races, but when I did not go, I sent a GREAT standin, my brother! Well this year we have 3 season tickets instead of 2! So yes, I will be the third wheel with Russell & Bubba this year! So now we have 3 weeks to buy the rum and several fruity flavors! Hope you all stop by and visit!
